Hi, we are Lori and M-J

We are Lori and M-J (short for Maarten-Jan). We are a US/Dutch couple that fell in love with Samara Beach ever since the first time we came here, now many years ago.

​

We remodeled the former Casa Tortuga to create the perfect vacation home for you with all the comfort you need in the tropics. The best place to stay in Samara with lots of open air and shade, but also the cooling air conditioning. What we love most about Samara and Guanacaste is the ocean and the monkeys, so we named our boutique apartments:

We are happy to host you and provide you with all the information you need so you will enjoy Samara as much as we do. We are not in Samara ourselves but we are just an email or phone call away. We speak English, Dutch, German and some French and Italian, and even less Spanish, but we are learning!

 

For help in and around MONOS Y MAR and Samara our friends Mégane and Migoï are on site and will be able to help you. They speak French, Spanish, English, some Italian, and Woof.
